Ukai Dam Gujarat

The "Ukai Dam" is constructed across the Tapti River.It is the largest reservoir in Gujarat, India. It is also known as "Vallabh Sagar". It's constructed in 1972. The dam is meant for irrigation, power generation and flood control.The storage capacity of Ukai dam is 46%. There are 4 hydro turbine units and each of 75 MW. All the units were made by BHEL.
